I have chosen to analyse the video for the song ‘B.o.B - Magic ft. Rivers Cuomo [Official Music Video]’

This song would probably fit into the genre of pop, some broad characteristics of this genre, is normal casual clothes

There is almost no relationship between the lyrics and the visuals. the relationship that there is, is very contradicted by the visuals

At the start when we hear a voice, it sounds like it is coming from a radio, and we can see a radio, the camera is shaking which makes it look like it is someone’s point of view,

The next obvious relationship between the visuals and the lyrics is when they sing the word ‘gold’ then we see a goldfish come up on the screen.

there is alot of cuts in the video in time with the beat from the song
the only solo illustrated by the video is when B.O.B starts raping, he is walking down the hall and on every other word he illustrates it with a elated hand movement to the specific word that he is saying.


the video does change pace with the music.


4. there is alot of close-ups on b.o.b and when on the stage there is lots of both the singers (stars)
the image that they are trying to create when both the singers are on the stage is that they are party animals and that they can have a really good party and that their music is really popular because there is alot of people there dancing.


the video for this song has no intentional relationship with any of the other videos by these artists.
the motifs for this video have been used before by the same artists in various other songs that they have made.
